Layer 01 ยท The foundation
Equality, drawn to spec.
I don't deliver recommendations. I draw the change into your structure and leave your team able to run it without me. Engineer by training, on both sides of the table for fifteen years.
You already believe in it. Your P&L has just never been shown why.
The belief isn't the gap. The arithmetic is. Gender equality reaches the boardroom priced in a currency the room doesn't spend, so it gets filed with everything else that isn't a line item. GAINS was built to be the translator: it reads gender equality as what it already is for a for-profit company โ a line on your P&L, a lever on your ROI, and a solution to problems you already have.
- Higher Net result10%
A number on your P&L
Gender equality read as a metric you manage, not a cause you fund โ moving cost, risk, and return like any other operating lever.
- Examine AccessAccess
The talent pattern
Check who gets access, who progresses, and where capability may be overlooked.
- Higher Productivity15%
More from the same team
Friction people work around quietly โ unclear rules, unsafe conditions, improvised management โ shows up as lost output. Removing it is a productivity gain, not a morale one.
- Lower Turnover cost30%
Retention that compounds
A safe, fair workplace keeps the people others lose. Lower recruitment cost, longer tenure, and knowledge that stays in the building.
- Lower Absenteeism30%
The absence you already pay for
Absence is where an unsafe or unfair workplace shows up first โ in a schedule someone patches every week. It settles when the conditions do, and managers get systems to run instead of improvising.
- Define ScopeScope
The applicable standard
Map relevant legal and organizational requirements before designing the next step.
The maturity ladder
Three layers. Built in order.
Gender equality in the workplace isn't one switch โ it's a climb. I build it with organizations layer by layer: secure the floor, invest in the talent it protects, then hand that talent real decision power.
Layer 02 ยท Advancement & equity
Investment
Grow the talent the floor protects. Safety keeps people. Investment makes staying worth it: deliberate development instead of whoever happens to get noticed, mentors who open doors rather than give advice, and a path that reaches middle management instead of stopping just below it.Layer 03 ยท Governance & power
Representation
Presence becomes decision power. The women you developed now lead โ in the C-suite, on the board, managing people and P&L at the level where decisions actually get made. That is when representation stops being a headcount and becomes a seat with a vote.We start with the business โ not the gender ask.
Every engagement opens with a gender-informed business analysis, applying GAINS. It finds where the organization is losing money to a problem nobody has read as gendered, then designs the intervention that fixes the business problem โ not the other way around. That analysis runs in the discipline business itself respects: I am CBAP-certified through the IIBA, and so is my team.
Name the business problem
High turnover, quality loss, productivity volatility โ stated precisely, in your own operational terms.
Quantify the cost
What that instability already costs you each year, operationally and financially.
Test the current fixes
Why the solutions already in place are underperforming.
Design the intervention
A gender-responsive move โ applied only where it makes operational sense, never for its own sake.
Set the safeguards
The protections and enablers the intervention has to carry before it launches.
Run the numbers
Cost against benefit, on conservative assumptions โ no inflated promises.
Pilot, then scale
Evidence first โ prove it on one line or one site before it rolls out.
The shift GAINS makes
When the plan is ready, my firm carries it.
An engagement with me covers the front of the chain โ the analysis, the intervention design, the safeguards, the business case, the pilot plan. Activating that plan inside your organization is its own discipline, and that work goes to Smart Civic Solutions: the consultancy I founded, and the firm GAINS was developed in. The handoff isn't a goodbye โ same method, same standard, one line of accountability from first question to running system.
In the room โ cohorts, teams & trainings
Send your team through the program.
Alongside an engagement, or on its own: send staff through the full program โ customized to your context and industry, up to ten seats per order, the same portfolio standard as every practitioner.
Scoping conversation
A short call maps where sponsorship fits your org.
Seats sponsored
Staff seats booked onto the cohort track, up to ten per order.
Program completed
Each seat finishes to the same portfolio standard, capstone included.
Capability retained in-house
The skills, the templates and the workflows stay with your own people.
GAINS arrives as an engagement.
Analysis, intervention design, and a team that can run the work without a consultant on retainer โ drawn into your structure, funded, staffed, and reporting up.
